life is full of simple pleasures
-hot coffee on a cold day-sharp ice skates and smooth glassy ice
-a slow-cooking supper which makes the house smell amazing all day long
-answered prayers
-good books
-the red sox
-songs that make you sing along, because they're just that good
-chocolate chip cookies
-tv series on dvd, so you don't have to wait until next week for a new episode
-stories like this:

Ok...I agree with you that slow cookers are wonderful, UNLESS your mother-in-law fills it with saurkraut early in the morning...EEEEeeeeeeeew! (It's even worse if you have company over and feel like,every ten minutes or so, you need to apologise for the stench!)
